Ellen L. Parker, MUP, AICP, LEED Green Associate is a Senior Planner at Wendel. She is the former president of NY Upstate Chapter American Planning Association. She teaches urban planning courses at Buffalo State.

Bio:
Ms. Parker has over 25 years of professional urban planning experience, with expertise in a broad range of planning areas. She specializes in land use, comprehensive planning and creating livable places. Ms. Parker has assisted dozens of municipalities from small villages to cities with planning issues, and has also worked on a number of regional plans, including the Erie-Niagara Framework for Regional Growth, the Niagara River Greenway Plan and the Finger Lakes Regional Sustainability Plan. Ms. Parker’s strong knowledge of grant programs and their priorities has enabled her to write numerous successful grant applications for a variety of municipal projects, including a $16.5 million TIGER grant for the Niagara Falls Intermodal Transportation Center, a project which recently broke ground. Ms. Parker has a Master degree in Urban Planning. She is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners and is a LEED Green Associate. She served as the President of the New York Upstate Chapter of the American Planning Association from 2010 through 2014, and currently sits on the Board as Past President.
