Timothy G. Brennan, MBA, CFRE developed and teaches PAD 648 Nonprofit Grants Management and Fund Development.
Tim graduated with distinction from the University of Buffalo, School of Management with a Masters Degree in Business Administration in May of 1991, with a certified major in health care systems management. From 1988-1993 he was the district manager for Advanced Home Care of Western New York, managing all sales and marketing activities for the partnership between Caremark International, Inc. and Buffalo General Hospital. In 1993 he was promoted to General Manager of Advanced Home Care and assumed overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the home health care agency, which specialized in home infusion therapies.
In 1995, Tim became Vice President of Marketing and Network Development for The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care (CHPC), where he was responsible for positioning palliative care services with local health care delivery systems and insurance companies as part of an end-of-life care continuum. In 1998, along with several co-workers, he developed a supportive care program with a major local insurer that provided critical services for seriously ill patients.
Tim has served on several local Boards, including the Evergreen Foundation (AIDS Community Services) and the Cheektowaga Chamber of Commerce and was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the New York State Cancer and AIDS Pain Initiative.
In 1999, Tim became Vice President for Institutional Advancement at D’Youville College where he was responsible for overall fund raising programs and alumni relations. In June 2009, Tim earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification through CFRE International. While at D’Youville, Tim directed the College’s first ever capital campaign, completing it on time while raising $11.4 million against a $10 million goal.
In October 2012, Tim was named Chief Development Officer at the Boys and Girls Club of Buffalo where he is responsible for all fundraising activities of the agency, including annual giving, major/planned giving, grants development, special events and government relations.
In July 2018, Tim was named CEO of SPCA Niagara.
